Archial has submitted detailed designs for a #10 million 25m dive centre and swimming pool at Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre, one of the pre-games training camps for the London 2012 Olympics.
The new eight-lane pool will have four diving platforms, a water slide, dry diving training area with a harness and trampolines, and 376 tiered seats for visitors.
Paul Weston, director at Archial, said: "Our stimulating design will enable all members of the community, whether young or old, to enjoy the swimming pool.
"The training facilities will enable people to develop their diving and swimming skills."
